PawnGuru is an independent website operated by an individual publisher in the United States. We are not affiliated with any pawn shop, chain, lender, or trade association.
What PawnGuru is — and isn't
- PawnGuru is a directory of pawn shops and buy/sell businesses, along with educational content about pawning, selling, and consumer options.
- PawnGuru is not a pawn shop or a lender. We do not originate loans, hold items, appraise, or broker transactions.
- PawnGuru is not a licensed financial advisor, attorney, or appraiser. Content on the site is for general information only.
Listings and accuracy
We compile listings from public sources — official business websites, the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, Google, state regulator directories, and direct submissions. We do our best to verify and update listings, but:
- Hours, phone numbers, and addresses change.
- Shops close, move, rebrand, or change ownership.
- Ratings reflect a moment in time from third-party platforms.
Always call a shop directly to confirm before visiting.
If you spot an error, please let us know — corrections are usually processed within a few days.
Inclusion, removal, and editorial policy
Inclusion in PawnGuru is not an endorsement. We list shops based on public information and reasonable editorial judgment. If you are a shop owner and want your listing updated, corrected, or removed, email hello@pawnguru.com. Legitimate removal requests are honored.
Third-party links and offers
PawnGuru links to third-party sites — including affiliate partners (see our Affiliate Disclosure). When you leave PawnGuru, the destination site's terms and privacy policy apply. We're not responsible for what happens on those sites, for the accuracy of their offers, or for decisions you make once you're there.
No professional advice
Guides, FAQs, estimates, and editorial content on PawnGuru are for general education. They are not financial, legal, tax, or appraisal advice. Before making a significant decision — taking a loan, selling an heirloom, disputing an offer — consult a licensed professional.

Any valuation or price-range feature on PawnGuru is an estimate based on typical market data. It is not an appraisal, guarantee, or offer. Actual offers from pawn shops and buyers vary widely based on condition, documentation, local market, and individual shop policies.
Acceptable use
When using PawnGuru, please don't:
- Scrape the site at a rate that degrades service for other users. Our machine-readable data feeds (shops.json, shops.csv, llms-full.txt) are available for reasonable use.
- Submit false, misleading, or spammy information through our forms.
- Attempt to compromise the site, impersonate us, or interfere with other users.
Intellectual property
The PawnGuru name, logo, original editorial content, and site design are the property of the publisher. Individual shop names, addresses, and public business facts are not proprietary to us. You may link to any PawnGuru page. You may quote or cite content with attribution. For larger reuse, email us.
Disclaimer of warranties
PawnGuru is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither PawnGuru nor its operator will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, including lost profits, lost savings, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Indemnification

Governing law
